So. Frustrated.

I went to my eye doctor today and asked to try on some demo color lenses. They gave me a few colors to take home and see what worked :) Though, since they require a different prescription from my normal wear contacts, I have to pay for a new prescription for the color lenses.. Finished mr. sword. He is lacking a backside at the moment, but I'll finish that off later when I cast the gems for it. Needs a little bit of repainting and tidying up, but he's done for the most part. He is very shiny! p.s. I hate faux fur

I've picked this in color 24.

Also, I have made a discovery about kusuriuri's sword. It's double sided, as in, it's the same front and back. Which means, more painting and more gems. I may end up casting some gems after all. The sword is nearly done, Aside from painting, I just need to finish up the details on the face(beard/hair which are in the

Raised details, gesso-ed, and the beginings of a head. Also, paperclay is an interesting medium to work with. I like how I can get it super smooth with just a little water

His sword, is the strangest, cutest thing, I think I've ever seen.

Base is three layers of balsa wood, and the gems are molded out of sculpey. I sketched a basic version out, so that I know where to glue the gems on the balsa wood. Still need to add the rest of the detailing, then seal it with gesso and handpaint the rest.
